WONDER WORKING JESUS

I have just returned to Brisbane after one week of catching up with family in Adelaide. It was a very refreshing time for. I am happy to be back in Brisbane after travelling for four weeks in New Zealand, Melbourne and Adelaide. The weather in Brisbane is so beautiful and the sky is so blue. I love my home city very much. It was good seeing my friends again. Below are video and photos of my recent Phillip Island trip.

Facts about Philip Island

Phillip Island is best known for its beautiful sunset penguin parade, although it also offers sheltered beaches to the north and some great surfing beaches to the south. The main town on the island is Cowes, and you can get to the island over a bridge from San Remo. Phillip Island is also well known for the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix.

There are several swimming beaches around Cowes. If you'd prefer to hit the surf then head to one of the many great surfing spots, including Berrys Beach, Cat Bay, Smiths Beach, Summerland and Woolamai.

Wonder Working Jesus

We have a wonder working God. At Tuesday night's prayer meeting in Adelaide, God healed some people from back pain, knee pain and ankle pain. It was awesome to see God at work in the church when we prayed.

In Jesus' days, people were amazed by the power of God demonstrated through miracles and healing. Jesus calmed the storm, Jesus fed the five thousand, Jesus raised the dead, and Jesus healed the blind and so on.

Jesus did many other miraculous signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. 31But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. John 20:30-31

The bible stated that not all of the miracles are recorded because there would not be enough space. The miracles gave evidence that Jesus is the Son of God. People believed in God through the miracles performed by Jesus and the disciples.

Let us desire for more of the love and power of God in our lives because God wants to reveal His reality to the world. Ask God for a miracle today!

EMPOWERED IN MELBOURNE

I always love returning to Melbourne. I lived in this city for four years (1990-1994). It is a very multicultural city. I love the great variety of food in Chinatown and Lygon Street in Carlton. I went for the famous Vietnamese beef noodles on Swanston Street in Melbourne city for lunch. Then, I had my favorite egg tart at the popular cake shop in Chinatown. Melbourne is great for dinning out and shopping.

Facts of Melbourne City

Melbourne (pronounced /ˈmelbən/) is the more common name for the geographic region and statistical division of the Greater Melbourne metropolitan area. It is the second most populous city in Australia, with a population of approximately 3.8 million (2007 estimate) and serves as the state capital of Victoria. Melbourne is located on the lower reaches of the Yarra River and on the northern and eastern shorelines of Port Phillip and their hinterland. Melbourne is a major centre of commerce, education, tourism, the arts and cultural activities, and also industry. It is consistently ranked one of the most liveable cities in the world. The city is recognised as Australia's 'sporting and cultural capital'.

Empowered in Melbourne

The theme of the Oceania Convention in Melbourne was called "Empowered". God performed many miracles on Sunday night during prayer time. People got healed from various infirmities such as joints pain in the wrist and shoulder, back pain and improved eye vision. The presence of Holy Spirit was strong and everyone was touched by the power of God.

I shared from Mark 16:15-20 before we began to pray for healing

.....they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well."After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God. 20Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.

After Jesus ascended to heaven, the disciples were able to perform miracles because Jesus was still with them. They were not working alone but Jesus was working with them to perform miracles. The message of the gospel was confirmed with signs and wonders. We praise God for the demonstration of God's power during the convention in Melbourne. Many people were healed physically, emotionally and spiritually. Let's be empowered by the Holy Spirit in our daily lives. Glory to God!

KINGDOM LIVING

I am writing this blog from Auckland, New Zealand. The weather in Auckland for the past week has been beautiful. The sky is blue and the sun is warm. This is my fourth visit to this wonderful city. I enjoy visiting New Zealand and seeing the Soh family.

Facts about Auckland

The Auckland metropolitan area or Greater Auckland, in the North Island of New Zealand, is the largest and most populous urban area in the country with over 1.3 million residents, 31 percent of the country's population. Demographic trends indicate that it will continue to grow faster than the rest of the country. Increasingly cosmopolitan, Auckland also has the largest Polynesian population of any city in the world, and has seen many people of Asian ethnicity move there in the last two decades.

Video of Auckland

I did a video on top of Mount Eden in Auckland. It is such a beautiful place because it overlooks the whole city and the sea (See video).

Here are some photos taken in Auckland....

Kingdom Living

In my devotion today, I read Romans 14:17 with a fresh insight. I believe God wants us to have "Kingdom Living" so that we can enjoy "Kingdom blessings". When we live for the kingdom of God, we will experience righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Romans 14:17 (New International Version)

17For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit,

We will also experience the power of God in our lives (Romans 15:19). Apostle Paul lived for the kingdom of God and he demonstrated the power of God through the Holy Spirit. God used Apostle Paul to performed signs and miracles.

Romans 15:19 (New International Version) by the power of signs and miracles, through the power of the Spirit. So from Jerusalem all the way around to Illyricum, I have fully proclaimed the gospel of Christ.

When we live for God, He is able to work through us. It was great to see a lady with blurred vision get healed by God. A student with a painful wrist was also healed along with an African man, who received healing of a year-old knee injury at Sunday service in Auckland, New Zealand. Let's live for Christ.
