EMPOWERED IN MELBOURNE

I always love returning to Melbourne. I lived in this city for four years (1990-1994). It is a very multicultural city. I love the great variety of food in Chinatown and Lygon Street in Carlton. I went for the famous Vietnamese beef noodles on Swanston Street in Melbourne city for lunch. Then, I had my favorite egg tart at the popular cake shop in Chinatown. Melbourne is great for dinning out and shopping.

Facts of Melbourne City

Melbourne (pronounced /ˈmelbən/) is the more common name for the geographic region and statistical division of the Greater Melbourne metropolitan area. It is the second most populous city in Australia, with a population of approximately 3.8 million (2007 estimate) and serves as the state capital of Victoria. Melbourne is located on the lower reaches of the Yarra River and on the northern and eastern shorelines of Port Phillip and their hinterland. Melbourne is a major centre of commerce, education, tourism, the arts and cultural activities, and also industry. It is consistently ranked one of the most liveable cities in the world. The city is recognised as Australia's 'sporting and cultural capital'.

Empowered in Melbourne

The theme of the Oceania Convention in Melbourne was called "Empowered". God performed many miracles on Sunday night during prayer time. People got healed from various infirmities such as joints pain in the wrist and shoulder, back pain and improved eye vision. The presence of Holy Spirit was strong and everyone was touched by the power of God.

I shared from Mark 16:15-20 before we began to pray for healing

.....they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well."After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God. 20Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.

After Jesus ascended to heaven, the disciples were able to perform miracles because Jesus was still with them. They were not working alone but Jesus was working with them to perform miracles. The message of the gospel was confirmed with signs and wonders. We praise God for the demonstration of God's power during the convention in Melbourne. Many people were healed physically, emotionally and spiritually. Let's be empowered by the Holy Spirit in our daily lives. Glory to God!
