TOUCHING HEAVEN - CHANGING EARTH

We thank the Lord for a wonderful time at the Touching Heaven Extra prayer meeting on Tuesday night. There were over 200 people came together to pray for divine healing, the church, missions and spiritual warfare in Hope Brisbane.

During the prayer for divine healing, we witnessed the presence of the Holy Spirit to bring words of knowledge, healing, deliverance and salvation. The church united in prayer for the power of God to heal and set people free from bondages. We witnessed God healing members from back pain and foot pain through the word of knowledge. Two first time visitors accepted Christ on Tuesday night.

Healing testimonies
  • An Australian man in a wheelchair who is suffering from multiple sclerosis received strength in his legs and the peace of God after prayer. He accepted Christ after hearing the gospel through Nick.
  • An African lady from Zambia called Martha suffered from a slipped disc for the past four years. She had constant back and right foot pain because of the nerve impingement. After prayer, the pain was totally gone. She said that the doctor was unable to treat her slipped disc. Glory to God! Watch the video testimony.

I would like to encourage all of us to continue to believe God to do great miracles in our lives. God is great and He wants to do great things through us!

12I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. John 14:12

Let’s do greater things for God in 2009!

I am flying off for 4 weeks for healing ministry in Oceania churches. First stop is in Auckland, New Zealand and then I fly to Oceania Convention in Melbourne, Philip Island, follow by Adelaide. Appreciate your prayer for more miracles!

GRACE OF GOD

This week, I had a wonderful opportunity to share the gospel with university students. I love meeting students and challenging them to think about meaning of life and the reality of God. My friend and I had a good spiritual conversation with two students. We helped bring them a few steps closer to a loving and caring God. I left the university with a smile knowing God loves the students and wants them to experience him.

Recently, I was reminded at the Sunday service and small group about the Grace of God. I need to rely on His power more in my daily life. The grace of God is His enabling power for Christians to accomplish His work on earth. The grace of God also refers to His unconditional love for sinners like me and you. I want to walk in the grace of God everyday as I serve Him.

But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me. 1 Cor 15:10

Apostle Paul relied on the grace of God in everything he did. He said that the grace of God was with him.

I am looking forward to the Touching Heaven Extra prayer meeting this Tuesday night. We are going to have a special prayer session for divine healing. I am praying for God to do great miracles in our church during the prayer meeting.

Healing stories

Sabrina Chow Suet Ling in Kuala Lumpur

I am an undergraduate student from UKM and pursuing my BBA studies. I was diagnosed with cervical lordosis and lower pack last July, 2008. All of this is due to the degeneration of my spine. I’ve been receiving chiropractic treatment and physiotherapy ever since my diagnosis. Despite the intense treatment, occasionally I will experience back pain if I work on a particular activity such as sitting still, standing or walking for long hours. My condition had gradually improved and I was pain free on early January.

On Chinese New Year’s eve, I had my reunion dinner back in my hometown with my family. Not long after the dinner started, I accidentally fell down on the floor because the stool that I had sat on earlier had moved away from its original position. Then, I had my back pain again the moment I stood up.

On 4th February 2009, I attended a healing session given by Peter Truong. The brothers and sisters together with Peter Truong prayed for me. I felt a natural burning sensation on my back; it felt like the therapy I had undergone where a hot pack was placed on my back. The next day when I woke up from my bed, I was feeling great when the pain had gone. Praise the Lord that I took only ten days to heal this round compare to the first round of back pain which took me more than six months to recover.

BE READY FOR MIRACLE

This is my first week back in Brisbane since my trip to Malaysia. I am still recovering from jet lag. Australia is two hours ahead of Malaysia. It is good catching up with church friends at the corporate prayer meeting on Tuesday night and Friday night life group. I also went for a BBQ at Ipswich on Saturday with some of the new tertiary students. The weather in Australia is cooler compared to Malaysia. But I really missed the nice food in Malaysia particularly in Penang.

Here are some photos from Kuala Lumpur

Be Ready for Miracles!

I was listening to a podcast this week from Pastor Creflo Dollar Ministries. One thing that I learned from his teaching on "Hearing by Praying in the Spirit" is that we need to pray in the spirit on all occasions so that God can speak and act through us. We have a higher potential to hear from God and do His miracles when we pray in the spirit. I want to rekindle the passion of speaking in the spirit so that I will be ready for miracles.

1 Corinthians 14:15 (New International Version)

So what shall I do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my mind; I will sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my mind.

Ephesians 6:18 (New International Version)

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

Healing Stories

Rekha from Hope Kuala Lumpur

Rekha was diagnosed with early stages of arthritis. At times, the joint pains were so severe, she had difficulty in walking. After being prayed for at one of Peter’s healing rallies, she discovered that she no longer experienced swelling in her feet and hands and the joint aches were also gone. The pain and swelling gradually disappeared over a period of a few weeks after she was prayed for. This dear sister’s healing bears testimony that God works beautifully in His time.

I was very encouraged to receive this healing testimony from Rekha. After prayer, the pain and swelling in her feet and hands and joint aches were gone. God can do miracles when we walk in the spirit on all occasions. Be ready for miracles!

HE SEND FORTH HIS WORD

I am writing this blog in Kuala Lumpur after nearly five weeks of healing ministry in Asia. I have travelled to so many nice places such as Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Malacca (Malaysia), Manila and Davao (the Philippines). God has been so good over the last five weeks. I have really seen the faithful Hands of God touching and healing people everywhere.

Here are some photos in Davao, the Philippines

He send forth His Words

The bible says Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). Jesus demonstrated His love and power two thousand years ago and He is still doing it today through the local church. As I waited on the Lord today before praying for healing. I received a promised in the bible;

He sent forth his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave. Ps 107:20

The bible says God sent His Word and healed the people. When Jesus arrived on earth, He spoke the Word of God and people were healed. During the Sunday service, I encouraged the people to claim the promise of God for healing as they put their faith in God's word. We prayed for a lady with breast cancer, a little girl with spinal disease, a girl with kidney and bladder problem and a couple trying to conceive.

Healing Stories

This year, I have personally seen three couples being able to conceive after being prayer for. During lunchtime, I received news that a lady who I prayed for with her husband last year to have a second child is now four months pregnant. God answered our prayer. He is our healer.

As Christians, we need to speak and claim the words of God for healing, deliverance, restoration and blessings. Another exciting miracle happened today; Alex read my blog, visited the church and accepted Christ today. I want to send forth God's word each day to bring forth His love and power to our generation.

Let us send out God's Word today and make an impact in our community and all over the world.

Please pray for me as I travel back to Brisbane, Australia with Air Asia and Jetstar from Kuala Lumpur via Singapore and Darwin. It will be a long trip. I am praying for divine appointments on the flights. Drop a message on my blog if you are free. Bye.

PEOPLE NEED THE LORD

Fun on the Island

I had a wonderful time relaxing on Samal Island near Davao with Wakki. For the first time in my life, I was able to swim along with the topical fishes. The fishes are so colourful under the sea. It was like a dream come true for me to swim with topical fishes. I always wanted to see the topical fishes in their natural habitat. I did it in Davao, Philippines! God has many good surprises for His servants.

Here are some photos of Samal Island.

People Need the Lord.

As I travel around the world
, seeing multitudes of people living aimlessly without Christ, my heart feel burden for the lost souls. Whether a person is rich or poor, educated or uneducated, they need the Lord. Jesus is the only one that can feel the empty hole in a person's heart. I love the story of Matthew the tax collector (Matthew 9:9-13).

This story demonstrated the Father heart of God in three ways:

1) Jesus reaching out to Matthew

9As Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector's booth. "Follow me," he told him, and Matthew got up and followed him.

God loves all people including a tax collector like Matthew. Jesus cared enough to reach out to Matthew, a person who the Jews hated. God's love extends to all people no matter what they have done. Every person is precious to God because He created them in His image.

2) Jesus fellowship with sinners

10While Jesus was having dinner at Matthew's house, many tax collectors and "sinners" came and ate with him and his disciples. 11When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, "Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and 'sinners'?"

Matthew was full of gratitude toward God's love and invited friends to meet with Jesus over dinner. Jesus spent time with people that were not popular in society due to their background or past.

3) Jesus came to die for sinners

12On hearing this, Jesus said, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. 13But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice.' For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."

Jesus made His purpose clear to the religious leaders that He came to save the sinners. He came to transform lives, leading them away from sin to righteousness through relationship with God.

How do we see people? We need to see people the way Jesus sees people; lost without God. Let us help restore people to God the way Jesus reached out to Matthew and his friends. Share with someone today.
